What does Browning Associates do?

Browning Associates provides customized, comprehensive career-transition support for senior-level professionals seeking a new position or changing careers.

We help clarify your goals and marketable strengths, strengthen your résumé, biography and LinkedIn presence, develop a strategic search plan, build your professional network, prepare for interviews, and negotiate compensation. You work one-on-one with a dedicated Project Manager throughout the process.

Is Browning Associates a recruiter?

No. A recruiter is paid by an employer to fill a particular opening. Browning Associates works for you. We provide executive career strategy, coaching, positioning, networking support, interview preparation and negotiation guidance so you can take greater control of your search.

Are you experienced in my field?

We work with senior professionals across many industries and functions. Executive skills are often transferable, and our strategy is customized to your background, target market and goals.

  • C-suite and senior management
  • Finance and banking
  • Information technology
  • Engineering and manufacturing
  • Healthcare
  • Human resources
  • Sales and marketing
  • Government and education
  • Hospitality and retail
  • Insurance and real estate
  • Commercial construction
  • Entrepreneurial transitions
Do you charge a fee?

Yes. Browning Associates is retained by the executive, never by the hiring company. Before any obligation exists, we evaluate your situation, immediate professional mission and long-term goals so you clearly understand the recommended work and engagement.

We can also advise you on requesting reimbursement of the fee from a future employer.

Can Browning Associates guarantee me a job?

No ethical firm can guarantee a job offer because the employer makes the final hiring decision and every search contains variables outside anyone’s control. Browning does guarantee committed coaching, resources and support throughout the agreed engagement while you actively follow the program.

How long will my search take?

Every executive search is different, and no exact timeline can be guaranteed. Clients who consistently follow the program have typically secured a new position within approximately four to six months after networking and outreach begin. Market conditions, goals, geography, compensation and personal effort can all affect timing.

Do you have executive connections?

Yes. Browning has an extensive network of executives across many industries. With each person’s permission, we make carefully considered introductions that help clients increase visibility, gain market insight and expand their own professional networks.

These are networking relationships, not promises of immediate job openings.

Are these only warm connections?

No. We help you activate your existing relationships and thoughtfully expand beyond them. The goal is to build a broad, sustainable executive network rather than limit your search to people you already know.

Does Browning provide job leads?

We do not sell lists of job openings or promise leads as a stand-alone solution. We may receive referrals through our network, but a successful executive search requires more: strong positioning, deliberate outreach, meaningful relationships, interview skill and consistent follow-through.

How can I increase my salary?

Many executives overlook valuable, transferable strengths because they are too close to their own experience. We help identify and communicate the business value of your achievements so employers understand not only what you have done, but what you can deliver for them. Strong positioning and negotiation preparation can materially improve compensation outcomes.

I am getting interviews but no offers. Why?

Possible causes include intense competition, unclear presentation of your value, cultural fit, compensation expectations, weak references or an interview style that keeps you in the role of applicant rather than business problem-solver.

Our interview preparation helps you uncover employer needs, communicate relevant solutions, handle difficult questions and negotiate from a stronger position.

Could I really need help with interviewing?

Yes—even accomplished executives can be out of practice. Interviewing is a distinct skill. Preparation, rehearsal and candid feedback help you communicate clearly, answer confidently and convert more conversations into offers.

I already know how to network. What would Browning add?

Executive networking is more than attending events or asking contacts about jobs. We teach a relationship-centered approach that helps you create natural conversations, become more valuable to others, reach the right decision-makers and build a network that continues serving you well beyond one search.

I have been self-employed. Can you help me transition?

Yes. Entrepreneurs often possess exceptional leadership, sales, operational and problem-solving strengths, but employers may not immediately understand how those abilities fit a structured organization. We help translate your entrepreneurial achievements into credible corporate value and target environments where initiative and ownership are prized.

How do I know whether I am a good fit?

You may be a strong fit if you are a senior professional pursuing a new executive opportunity, planning a significant transition, receiving too few responses, or seeking a committed strategic partner. The best results come from clients who are coachable, engaged and willing to consistently work the process.

Why does your service cost more than some alternatives?

Browning provides a personalized, hands-on engagement rather than a résumé-only product or generic course. The investment reflects one-on-one strategy, executive positioning, professional materials, networking guidance and introductions, interview preparation, negotiation support and continued accountability.

Our Client Success page lets you hear directly from executives who have experienced the process.

Do I have to be a Christian to become a client?

No. Browning Associates welcomes people of every background and belief. We respect each client’s convictions and do not pressure anyone to share ours. We do pray for our clients as an expression of care and support.

I want to change careers but do not know what I want. Can you help?

Yes. We begin by understanding both your professional background and what motivates you personally. From there, we help identify transferable strengths, clarify possibilities, test potential directions and create a practical plan aligned with your values and goals.
